LinkedIn is a social media platform specifically designed for professional networking, job searching, and career development. This webinar series consists of three 2-h-sessions to introduce you to the biggest online professional network. Whether you are completely new or already have some experience on LinkedIn – feel free to join this Webinar sequence for returnees of development services. It will support you step-by-step in creating an authentic profile and successful techniques to build meaningful connections and maintain lasting relationships virtually.

Pre-requisites: Existing account to LinkedIn, login credentials available, ideally you have already set up (a first version of) your profile.

Module 1: Introduction to LinkedIn and shaping your profile

  • Introduction to LinkedIn
  • How does an effective and meaningful profile look like?
  • Analysis of your own profile (photo, slogan, info, career, certificates, knowledge, etc.)
  • Identifying improvement areas regarding your profile

Module 2: Connecting with people on LinkedIn

  • Reflection of results, clarification of questions
  • Feedback on revised profiles and further adjustments
  • Networking requests on LinkedIn
  • Options to interact with your online network (e.g. likes, commenting, questions, recommendations)

Module 3: Meaningful contributions to your network

  • Reflection of results, clarification of questions
  • Your positioning
  • How to include your experiences and networks from your development service
  • Creating valuable contributions for your network incl. exercises
  • Wrap-up & next steps
